Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Doubt we'd ever get a deal close to that when you consider Stones' current valuation and the fact that Citeh paid £25m for Bony.

Obviously would jump at the chance if Stones is to be sold, but I find it somewhat unlikely. £35m and Bony wouldn't be too shabby though!
Just depends how much they want stones. Clubs not Qn up for bony

Can't sell everyone...

Barry, McCarthy, Lennon, Oviedo, besic, funes mori and sketelenburg form the basis of a solid bench. One that you can also cycle the youngsters through. Just need a solid backup at ST.

Get into Europe, have barry retire and yes next season you want to see improvement perhaps in the bench, but you can't do everything in one window.

Kone, mcGeady, Niasse, cleverly and Gibson - some of them can be sold now if offers come.

Players I'm hoping we sell.

Oviedo, McGeady, Niasse, Kone, Cleverly, Barry, Gibson & Lennon.

Realise we won't - If we are to push on to the heights of CL none of these can be relied upon (perhaps Barry if used sparingly).

I'd keep Lennon and Barry out of that list - both still have a lot to offer (including experience). Barry was our player of the season for crying out loud! Agree the rest can go though. ;)

We did that last season, I had the privilege of being thread banned from both.

Came at me now @Woolly Blue

That, and outing Toby as a Prev multi, was my finest work.

I think the original idea of having two threads was @Groucho's, but I like to think I managed to polarise the forum beautifully and wind-up many a poster by being particularly officious. @The Esk should have an honourable mention for either taking it seriously, or playing along, I was never sure which, but eventually @GrandOldTeam sussed out what was happening and reverted back to a single thread.

Would Bony want to come? He's on the bench at City, if he leaves I'm sure he will want assurances about playing time.

Then again, I suppose money talks.

i'm sure he knew he wasn't as good as aguero when he went there. he won't be getting any game time this coming season, he should really be doing everything to leave. The fact he isn't says he's happy enough to take the money in a way.

Excellent post.

Sense at last.

I like Bony but it seems like he would just be moving from City's bench to our bench. Would probably be closer to the 1st X1 here, but City have Europe as well so I doubt he would be able to be guaranteed much more game time here.

Isn't he on quite big wages as well? Can't see him wanting to take a pay cut to go from one bench to another and can't see us having one of our highest paid players (if not the highest) not being a regular starter. Maybe if Koeman would play both Lukaku and Bony together regularly though? Not sure.
