With pre-season just three weeks old, changes to the make-up of the squad - and subsequently the players’ numbers - are expected.

Number 2 is up for grabs (from Hibbert) and hopefully Gibson will lose number 4 and McGeady, Oviedo and Kone to lose 7, 8 and 9 respectively. Some big numbers to be had!

Give Funes Mori the number 2 (Seamus will stay 23 as it appears to be a lucky number for him) and move Jagielka to 4, freeing up number 6 for a big-name central midfielder. I'd personally like Deulofeu to take over the 7, Ross to be given the 8 and Lukaku number 9.

Sheeds seemed a nice guy but massively overplayed his 'connections'. Don't recall him giving any concrete info at all on something that actually happened.

That DavidMoyes lad was the only one who didn't revel in his own cult following and start talking utter nonsense like LCAB's 'looks to the seaside' sort of guff.

I spoke to sheeds on other sites, definately had inside info, not always transfer related like, great boxing knowledge too.

The club are selling him and 'officially' he wants to leave so may as well assume the fact he is gone.

It's a very real possibility as things stand.

Every other PL club around us are signing players to strengthen their squads whilst we wait for Witsel to go to Juventus and Mata to stay at Man Utd.

Loaded my backside - this isn't how clubs who are cash rich behave; see Man City, Chelsea and PSG.

But he hasn't officially gone yet. Do you think the City fans are whining and accusing the owner and manager of dragging their feet and being unable to push deals through the same way many of ours are now?

It's a long window. Most things happen toward the end. I don't understand why fans are so surprised and seemingly offended by this every year.

Man City have already signed Gundogen and their fans have evidence that their owners have spent big on quality players in recent history.

We have absolutely no evidence that this Moshiri fellow is going to spend anything.
