It was all bull mate,so called people who have inside information talking bollocks,the fact that Steve walsh is here suggests we're looking at cheaper deals,£100m war chest and we gonna compete on a different level looks like a million miles away atm.

Firstly, why did everyone buy into the £100mil 'war chest' (awful term) thing. It was evident that that was Moshiri's substantial investment in the club - a large part of it will be for transfers.

Secondly, as has been stated so many times yet people keep choosing to ignore, we have to raise our revenue in order to stay within FFP limits if we want to spend the budget we have and increase the wages to sign/keep better players.

The quickest way to do that so that we can bring in better players this summer is by selling an asset. It happens that one of our best players and high-value assets seemingly wants to leave the club, and we may be set to get a record fee for him.

This time last week I was not so fussed, now we are taking the piss. 15 days to season start and we are away on a tourner for nearly a week..... a summer that promised so much is bringing a lot of frustration to a lot of people.

We haven't 'missed out' on any targets as yet. All the players linked are still at their original clubs so who knows what will happen. A lot of players from the Euros will not have returned from holiday yet or only just. Transfers always happen later in Euro and World Cup years.

I think this needs a graph... you should plot the times it comes out over the course of 6 months, tie that in to the times it is published when we make signings then from there we can use the formula E=Zx-(1) to decipher when we are signing someone.

We have a year to sort that though, right? Shouldn't stop us paying better wages now.
