Going to be a nieve question but do we have to sell to buy ? Is it the tv money only plus sales ? Although I didn't believe the 100 million warchest etc etc but I had hoped that Moshiri was putting money towards his plan for the club ? Surely Koeman and Walsh came to the club because they seen the vision that was there for the club and that vision surely suggested a good amount to purchase the right players ...

I think we are tbh mate - from a "Walsh" perspective anyways, and the fact Koeman likes the lad apparently and went for him before. If walsh is running a Monchi style DoF scouting system, he will be looking partially at the stats sheets, and the lad does look good on paper.
We need players which improve on others and extra squad numbers. however is he better then others in the squad, i have no idea - but Gibson is likely to spend 90% of the season on the treatment table so i wouldn't mind someone extra, with the provision and assumption we will see players leave in the coming weeks.

always been intrigued by how managers introduce new players. "i'm sure you guys all know this guy ...", if it's a foreigner do they go through their CV? Do they say their positions. When discussing it behind closed doors, in the real world it's "we're hiring a new senior project manager", wonder what managers say behind closed doors about players, especially unknown ones.
