According to SSN we've paid Coventry compensation for a youngster named Sambou? And we've signed another youth(?) from somewhere else(QPR?).
Have I missed something?

It would have been nice to see these signings but the point is that when they do come in they are good enough to fit straight into the side.
That's why they'd be 'marquee' in the first place...

Sure its already been posted and not a great source, but screw it :
Real Madrid will sacrifice either Isco or James Rodriguez to make room for pre-season sensation Marco Asensio, according to reports.
According to AS, Asensio has “dazzled” during Madrid’s pre-season tour of North America, the former Espanyol loanee playing 109 minutes against Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain and achieving an 86 per cent pass-completion rate in that time.
His performances have also “delighted” coach Zinedine Zidane, while Los Blancos’ hierarchy are quoted by the newspaper as saying there will be no major signings this summer until players have left.
Isco and James found first-team opportunities under Zidane hard to come by last season, and with the duo playing in the same No 10 position as Asensio, one of the pair could be discarded.
Zidane is reportedly not convinced that James will accept being second fiddle again, although he remains “untouchable” in eyes of president Florentino Perez, while Isco’s situation is vice versa.
Asensio had previously been linked with a second loan, but he is said to have made clear his desire to stay, fight for his place and work under an “ideal teacher” in Zidane.
