How badly are people going to melt down if we sign Gueye and Williams because we failed to land Witsel and Koulibaly?

Last year we probably would have been sound with it as well.

Don't even think they're being bought in place of them but heads will roll either way.

A lot of people are demanding a big deal, two small ones isn't a bad way to move but it won't please everyone.

Which, to be fair, I don't think Koeman/Walsh are arsed about right now, more focused on fixing massive problems.

I bet you if they come in first, and it is looking likely given how quiet the news from the other deals has gone, that will be the instant assumption and reaction. Cynicism is still rife.
