Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Can we wait until the window is over before we decide if it's a disgrace or not though? Would've been great if our targets had already signed with three weeks of the window to go but they haven't yet. I also haven't seen anyone else sign anyone I feel we could've realistically signed which I feel jealous about so still a long way to go! Obviously there's the likes of Nolito to City or Miketc. to Man U but we were never going to sign them.

a lot of lads on here believe because of FFP we can't sign anyone until offloading Stones and/or Rom, despite losing 4 very well-paid pros off the wage bill at the end of last season.

step up and state for the courts if you still believe so x
Sadly you failed to even grasp the reality still. The financial restrictions mean we wouldn't be able to sign Gueye, Witsel, Carvalho, Koulibally/Williams without selling as even though we lost those pros we're seemingly attempting to go after players that probably command double an individual salary of those release and in some cases more than double.

these draxler and rodriguez links are purely in the papers because you guys on here talk about it as a dream scenario.

i apologise if this turns out to be incorrect.

@Brennan

Stekelenburg is better than Timothy Howard so technically we have strengthened that area

Thanks mate.

Justifiably people's heads are falling off too. This window has been a disgrace.

I agree David.

I was calm, but we just lost the finest midfielder in europe for 6months, imagine if Real lost Zidane in his prime? Would they just think "Boss that lads, lets just play Gareth Barry".

If anybody sees my head can they let me know, it rolled off the other night and I havent seen it since.

It's probably in the fridge lad stuffing it's face.

I think we underestimate how much dead wood we can clear off the books. Every year a team is allowed a 7 mill increase in wages(NOT counting any increase in commercial revenue, if we say, sign a 20 mill per year sponsorship deal, the skys the limit), we off loaded 67k in salary in Howard/Hibbert/Osman/Pienaar. We can add 134k to that. In addition, moving Niasse, McCarthy, and McGeady clears up another 146k. Thats a total of 322k per week available for players before running over. If we added Witsel at 100k per week, Carvalho at 90k per week, and Williams at 50k per week, Stek was probably 10k per week, and Gueye maybe 25k per, that still leaves us with 50k per week.
