Can't remember mate if you was in the discussion but we were talking about the potential virtues of signing players at this price class (not just chasing 30m shadows).

I'm sure we will be mate - we've just signed one who apart from giving the penalty away has looked half-decent

I'd combine that with ineptitude on behalf of the club. I don't think we have the admin in place to do business effectively, as seen with Yarmolenko. Rank amateurs.

I also think our newfound "wealth" has been well and truly overstated - I think we're still bargain hunting, and as such clubs are waiting for inflated offers as the window gets closer to closing, instead of receiving offers they can't refuse.

I do think theres a little naivety at play here, I mean we have Bill, who despite all his "faults" over the years has always been good at getting us a bargain over the line. Then theres the new fella Sasha we got in, fella is no doubt superb at what hes done before, but Football I would imagine is unlike any business hes done before, the likes of Agents whove been in the game for time and hard nosed chairmen, its a different game for the fella.

I did think things would start moving when Walsh came in, you would think he very much knows the game, but sadly not.

I think all our targets have just got us in a holding pattern, none of them want to come and we dont really want to move on while they are still technically "in play", its an utter crap storm currently.
