Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I think even a small number of quality additions would add a lot of impetus to our game, as it would help to break up the ol' Martinez era.

The underlying problem for Koeman is that these lads have had three years of Martinez indoctrination; it's not going to be pulled apart instantly.

A new creative midfielder, some legs and quality in midfield and more options up front would give Koeman a clean sheet to build upon.

Obviously more additions would be beneficial, yet even one or two before Saturday could be the catalyst for improvement. Right now we're flat!

I'm still hopeful that we will have a productive transfer window. I see business being completed by other clubs and I'm not exactly envious (Andre Ayew for £20 million).

However, I don't understand why with just a week to go before the start of the season we have only gotten two over the line.

Koné being given the number 9 shirt worries me. It beggars belief that he is still an Everton player. Granted he suffered a terrible injury in his first year but he had offered us nothing in the past two seasons. He is so bad, I would be genuinely shocked if another Premier League club came in for him. But with just a couple of weeks remaining in the transfer window, it seems that Koné will remain an Everton player.

It is difficult to sign world class players who are courted by Champions League clubs but there are player available, like Berahino, who would be a massive step up compared to Koné.

He only turns 33 in a couple of months mate, should be able to stark kicking on now.

Maybe so but win next weekend and today is forgotten.

I've already forgotten it mate... it's irrelevant.

We look a bit flat at the moment and signings are needed. They'll come. Maybe it's taken longer than many of us would like but that's the way it is.

Looking very positive on Williams.

I don't care what they have done, but i care about Mane's performance. He a great player and is only gonna get better. We should of snapped him up.

£35m is not 'snapping somebody up'

plus, who's to say he'd want to come, especially given the fall out he had with Koeman
