The team will evolve and will take some time before we will have a team that is challenging for top honours (we weren't far off with 2 semi-finals despite a complete cockwomble as manager).

So we have managed to nab the 1st choice manager from a very reluctant Saints and taken the DoF off the champions so lets give the whole thing some time ( I don't mean 6 weeks either) rather than losing it after one transfer window that is not even over.

As the team will improve under Ronald we will get the quality signings we need as we know the money is there ( those who dispute that really !?!?) as for me the most important signing would be get the quality stadium were desperate for.

Lets face it we are in a much stronger position than we were when the last season finished so a lot to be positive about and I think it WILL get better just not as quickly as some would like.

Me too. I wouldn't mind at all if the club said we are a bit strapped for cash while we sort out and build the new stadium. That's what is important in the long-term. Unfortunately, the club's non-existent PR has resulted in a deathly silence which is being filled with doom-mongers and panic merchants.
A few positive statements from the club would have calmed people down in the current absence of new signings (temporary, I hope!). Get it sorted Everton!

They are indicators though of whereabouts a squad is in terms of fitness and confidence. We look woefully underprepared for a competitive game of Premier League football next week, just like every start of year for the past 3 seasons.

The window shuts on September 1st. Rightly or wrongly, it doesn't shut the day before the season starts.

Obscure expectations? No mate, they weren´t obscure, they were very reasonable. How about getting in a number one keeper before the end of pre season?
