Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Didn't the rd smash Dortmund the other year in the last pre season game, how'd that season go for them again?
The post very clearly refers to today, not "the other year". One half of the city is buzzing tonight and excited for the upcoming season, the other is confused, wondering what the hell is going on and why the manager doesn't want to sign any players despite the drivel on display at Goodison today.

Jesus Christ it's grim in here. Some of you need to get back to playing fifa were it's a lot easier to buy anyone you want.

If you honestly think that the mosh has spunked £85m, paid the best part of £9m in compo for a new management team, £5m in compo to an incompetent clown all with the intention of doing nothing then you need a reality check.

I'm sure the majority of us can't even understand the complexity of trying to get a transfer through from start to finish. Sometimes it's not just about throwing money at anything just to appease some crying arse fans, it's getting what you want for the right price

We have a boss squad with loads of creativity in midfield and anyone who thinks otherwise can go and support the rs in my opinion

Tbh mate we're the only club that seems to have great difficulty getting routine transfers over the line

All the defence Coleman Baines Stones & Holgate were boss mate.

Jags ok but not fit .Funes good apart from a few rash challenges.

Much much better than a Martinez defence.
They were solid nothing more, he certainly wasn't boss, been a shaken preseason from him in general tbh

The boy holgate has looked more than able though

....to be fair I don't think most our doubting the new owners commitment or the difficulty in bringing players in, it's the reality that we were in free fall last season and the signs are that situation has not been arrested with a week to go.

I find it funny where finding it so difficult with Witsel, Carvalho, and Mata. These are great players, but there not world class. None of the other big teams are lining up for them and Juventus arn't even willing to bid more than £15m for Witsel. We are really struggling to attract any players in my eyes.

I think even a small number of quality additions would add a lot of impetus to our game, as it would help to break up the ol' Martinez era.

The underlying problem for Koeman is that these lads have had three years of Martinez indoctrination; it's not going to be pulled apart instantly.

A new creative midfielder, some legs and quality in midfield and more options up front would give Koeman a clean sheet to build upon.

Obviously more additions would be beneficial, yet even one or two before Saturday could be the catalyst for improvement. Right now we're flat!

martinez had to work with 10 years of a fair bit of negativity from the moyes era. We drew our first 3 games, then bang, end up with our record premier league points tally. Things can be changed around very swiftly.

I guarantee that the league games will be a shock to how structured we are, there's no free fall, Ron has got this.

His main issue this preseason on was to improve fitness, defensive structure and general play i.e. not being afford to go long instead of looking for the short pass.

In what other world would you think those three would consider us ?
The fact that we are now an option for them speaks volumes .

Most PL team sign players with over inflated prices. Even Moyes with Sunderland bought a Chelsea player, by 8 million, who never have one full game for them with

If we are just waiting to get "bargain" or as you called it the right price, we won't get anyone till the end of this summer window.
