Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Not all of our targets 'don't want it' mate.

Think Koulibaly was always going to be a hard sell, but we'll see. We may be even in for a surprise and Koeman may be looking to move on Mori? (though I serious doubt it)

Really don't want to sound like the doom mongers on here but looks like it's too hard a sell, I really want to be wowed.

As I'm sure others do and looks like we are struggling SO FAR.....

I'm coming round to the view that the massive funds that are supposedly available do not exist. In fact I'd go further and think that BK has fallen for a lot of spin and nonsense from the new "owner" as has Ronald Koeman. Even when this guy bought in it didn't look like he had the wherewithal to deliver what he promised and then the waters were muddied by his supposed links to Usmanov. That rumour has just disappeared now. This does not look good

You miss understand .... He was saying we have signed championship players... I would take that as championship level players... Which I don't know if they are , because I have never seen them play
No, I understand, but, same as you, I (and he, I bet) haven't seen them play more than once, and in the case of Gueye - against us in the Prem. Stek's also probably played against us, though I don't remember it.

Anyway, let's give them a chance before writing them off? And also they've both not played in the Championship - Villa were in the Prem when Gueye played for them and was sold, Stek was never in the Championship to begin with.

Napoli have no need to sell mate for one and it seems we're going up against Chelsea. From the players' perspective - a bit like with Witsel and Juve - he seems to prefer them.

However, there were rumours a few weeks ago that Koulibaly (out of all the big names) was the most unlikely. We seem to have moved on and got another target instead.

With Witsel we're still very much in for him, as he quite clearly hasn't discounted a move for him yet but is hanging on (or rather, his team is) in the hope that Juve stump up a bid that comes close to matching ours (which is 30million EUROS)

So bill kenwright who sold off everything. In 16 has hardly invested a penny. Our debt on transfers in that time is probably less than 1mil per season.

But apparently he's been had off by Farhad Moshiri. Who has done more in 6months to move the club forward than bill did in 16 years
The happy clappers are out in force this week

If Koulibaly says no then we won't drag him in kicking and screaming will we? I trust Koeman sees something in Martins Indi if it comes through, and I'm very happy with Williams. Two first-team-chasing centre backs in the same window doesn't happen often. Can't believe some are unhappy with this, cast your minds back to Alcaraz becoming our back up CB and remember that performance in Kiev. I wouldn't even make my worst enemy watch that game again.

Koulibaly has had a good 6 months, it was utter madness spending a fortune on a gamble.

The boy Koeman knows what Indi can do, maybe he knows what makes him tick and will get the best out of him? If not, at least we havent spunked 45m on some yard dog that only broke into the Senegal team in the last 6months.

Totally agree with your view regarding Koulibaly.
I posted it about 300 pages ago saying he's this year's must have fashion item (like Mangala was last year, and look how that's finished!)
and despite having a great season for Napoli does he warrant this HUGE price tag?
I would much rather get Williams, Martins-Indi and a top keeper for the same price overall.

If nothing was spouted off when Moshri took control i.e the northwest will have 4 world class managers,we will have the best purpose built football stadium in England and we would sign world class players........bleach sales would be down.
