Everton Transfer Thread 2016

A year ago Everton missed a real opportunity to get Andre Ayew on a free transfer, excellent player. It was said Martinez had been in regular contact with him in the months before, outlined the reasons he should come to Everton. And then when the time came to act, nothing. Off to Swansea. Today, £20m to West Ham.

He bagged £120k a week at Swansea and scored abar 10 goals - no opportunity was missed.

No, Bolasie would be a terrible signing and Williams would be a short-term stopgap for our particularly frail defensive lineup.

Our squad isn't top 8.

People on here seriously underrate West Ham, we used to be much better than them but in honesty they are a very decent side now.

Manager has gone yes, but we need better players like we have for years.

As is easily on par IMO. But on one hand you have a defensively organised and more rounded manager in Bilic. The other we had someone who brought his defensive record from a side he relegated.

I think if you go player for player, tinted specs say Everton come out on top.

The truth is however West Ham are a good team, we aren't necessarily a good team right now/haven't been for a while - which yes can come down to said relegated manager. But we are in the now and this is how it is I feel.

Hate to break it to you, but Lukaku, Stones, Del Boy and Ross are all severely overrated. We´ll need quality to push up the table.
This is true also... unfortunately.

I love Rom, for as much grief I give him - he is boss. But in reality some really crap strikers can do much better than Rom in certain things. Same with Ross & Stones really.

I do however believe Del is absolutely mega and that not many if any players can whip some of the through balls/crosses that he has done for us.

Three of those players are valued at £40m plus each, and that's being conservative. The other one is a Barcelona prodigy who could easily go on to be a world beater if his head clicks.

They are not overrated at all - the problem is that our squad is severely imbalanced, with no leadership, confidence or intensity of play whatsoever.
