Bony and Bolasie are both now odds on to sign. Think AW and Kone for Stones is great but not sold on Bolasie. What are we gonna do in Jan when they all leave for African cup?

No if it had been a swap deal for Bony it would have been 35 million ish less to Barnsley then!

Football teams have been smart enough for many years to write into contracts on-sale clauses that take into account if a player swap is involved. Fee to Barnsley would still be the same.

Surely if he was coming it would have been beneficial to combine it in the Stones deal less money for Barnsley etc that Everton news now is barmier than my post, and others on herelol

Pretty sure it doesn't quite work like that - but even though Barnsley is one of those areas of the county with higher than average levels of mutants - I think they would have seen through any shenanigans of that ilk and got straight on T'interweb for a no win no fee fella to kick off all kinds of legal guff if we did try it on!

Would YOU ever write an on-sale clause thats based purely on the cash, or would you include in it that if a player swap is involved, the fee is based on the market value of the player + cash?

If that was the case mate, then why waste all that time and bother trying to bring in Witsel, Carvalho and Koulibaly, wouldn't it have been easier with Koeman's intelligence to have gone for premier league proven players who can come in and do a job from the start, so they were ready for our first game.

like i said a number of days ago. Everton's best tactic would be to weaken other premiership squads. Looks like thats what they're trying to do.
