I'm one of them weirdo's, potential to be great but nowere near it yet. Some of his displays were the worst iv seen from a defender at goodison. No doubt that the lad is superb with the ball but his positioning and decision making borders on awful at time.

Give me a 31 year old at the top of his game over a young defender who makes 2 or 3 mistakes a game any day of the week.

First ten mins of the ESPANYOL game STONES done something that moved me greatly, almost a tear in the eye....he made an interception, controlled it, was under pressure...and then hit it out for a throw-in. Safely. He......DEFENDED, without fuss...and it was, for that fleeting moment, lovely...

Oh well.
