Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Clearly the Stones thing's been done a while I reckon. Pretty evident on SAT at ESPANYOL, the greetings prior to game were all very 'goodbye-ish' between the players. And I think the Sittttteh squad inclusion palaver only confirms that.

I don't doubt there was always gonna be a LOT of movement TX wise this week, and they're never gonna please everyone are they, the incomings...it's a big case of expectations being perhaps higher than they should.

That said, I'm not that unhappy with them TBH. Throw MATA on top, maybe a keeper & striker. All good as a start.

We've gotta give it time. But blimey...this talk from some about 'voicing our concerns' on Saturday....

Pfffffff.

Expectations are one thing but we should always look to leave a window stronger than we started it, I hope we do but I'm very worried now that we won't with the players being linked.

...agreed. But there's still quite a while before that happens so I don't think there's much point in some throwing stropplers and weeing everywhere because we haven't got them 'all in' by SATURDAY. Eventually they'll come...

Soccer Special on sky sports on a mo.

TC is on. He will be ex Everton tonight and will be asked about us.

Not sure whether to mute the sound on me telly here.

You know when Koeman turned up at Southampton and they had eight players?

I think he liked that feeling. The rebuild worked a treat for him there. He got plenty of his own men in straight away.

It feels like he's doing the same thing with us.

All the players we are making offers for appear to be big powerful units. We where often pushed around and bullied last season by inferior teams who had far more discipline. Ranieri saying hand Everton the gun and they are likely to shoot themselves in the foot.

These potential signings, whilst in no way are they statement makers / headline grabbers, might help us cut out some of those problems. In the last 2 pre season games we where certainly lacking an out ball and a bully in defence. Holgate was the stand out ball playing defender, outshining the now insignificant and overhyped Stones.
