Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I know heads are being lost here but just a quick observation.

Our new manager seems to be building a team with a solid backline , defensive and ability in the middle with added quality and mobility, and genuine pace down the flanks

And people are complaining?

Everyone knows the key to success is buying several very expensive players and throwing them onto the same pitch together mate.

No planning required.

Tottenham went into the 12/13 season with Brad Friedel as their only keeper.

They signed Lloris on deadline day.

Just saying...

I think I was better off not knowing what happens at Everton, coming from Exeter and with hardly any media presence I don't get to find out nothing unless the bells on Sky announce it, that's why I started to get involved in this forum.
Think I was better off not knowing so I think I'm going to log off and watch the TV because the more I learn about the club on here is getting my blood pressure high.

built for direct, counter-attacking football with the added ability to also play the sexy stuff that RM wanted (but ultimately ended up just going sideways)

Well, I am obviously in a small minority but I actually think Bolasie will prove a good signing for us.
I have posted that I wanted him here for ages now and although the price we could pay is massive we have not replaced Pienaar on that left wing since he left first time round. Now we have an out and out left winger who potentially could be fantastic with his partnership with Baines.
I will call them Bai-lasie!

Still loads to do really. A midfielder with genuine creative quality, a first choice goalkeeper, a striker to replace Kone/Niasse, and someone who can play right back.

We have prioritised some odd positions ahead of this IMO.

haha fairs...

I definitely wanted a keeper signed up sharpish mate - but just saying with three weeks left in the window there's nothing to say we won't be in for one.

No links to Williams until last week, Kone until yesterday or Bolasie until yesterday either! Things can move quickly...

I read your negative post all 5 or 6 on the last few pages putting people down or being negative to those who are trying to stay positive.

Oh i know there quite a lot on here that are in meltdown mode over the lack of signings and now the type of signings that. But i doubt seriously all of the fans share the same level of fume as you and those people.

Of course there's going to be unhappy fans that's par the course of being a blue unfortunately you know it i know it we all know its been miserable for many a year now.

But i suspect there are a lot like me trying to stay positive and willing to give this regime a chance.

So again i doubt there will be 40000 people angry in the stand before a ball will be kicked.

and that post you say i dont understand well you kind of contradict yourself in it too so there you are.

my opinion that we made a panic bid to seal the bolasie deal to appease some fans is not me being negative.

you say i have made 5-6 negative posts... please point them out to me? I have not been negative at all. you have probably mis-interpreted my posts.

I put people down? I think you have misjudged me. I don't put people down. I even said that I will be there on Saturday cheering the team on even if other's are discontent at the goings on over the past few weeks.

my perception of the angry crowd stems from what I have seen over these forums in the past couple of weeks. I could be wrong but i am entitled to an opinion.

Agree on all except right back tbh mate.

I think Holgate is more than capable. He looks a player and spent a lot of time playing full back during his academy time and time at Barnsley.

As back up I'd say he's more than adequate. Can always re-visit in Jan if needed :)
