We would bring forward our summer 2017 transfer budget/activity to January 2017 as much as we possiby could to utilise the spare capacity in wage growth. I would not expect for a moment to utilise it all.

we have had all summer to sort out transfers,what makes you think we can do anything in January? Do you not think you may have been a little rash with some of the stuff you have continually spouted?

If we only get 4 more players, as Koeman is insinuating, then I would be happy with Bolaise, Mata, Bony and Kone. If we can keep Rom and get these 4, I think we will be in good shape. If we manage to grab a GK on deadline day, even better.

Thats revisionism. Multiple ITK's, both here and on other forums, made the absolute claim that 'we could buy Messi if we wanted, the £100m is just a rough number, the real number is MUCH higher than that'. So when the question gets asked 'show me proof where someone said this £100m is coming from', its coming from a lot of people that you yourself have said to trust their info on.

and, again, I'm not banging on the 100m mark because Im bored or even care about IT, I care that we start the season in 2 days and are completely unprepared for it.

it's not revisionism from me at all - I stated at the time and have continued to do so that whilst I feel we have a big budget I always thought that the £100m was an investment into the club first and foremost. I trust their info to be correct in terms of who we've made bids for, but I also have the ability to form my own opinion and what I've just stated has always been it

But from Koeman's presser (and his history at S'ton) he doesn't like to talk about transfers either mate. It can be frustrating but it's how we're run. We don't air our dirty laundry for the world to see

it was a completely hypothetical situation based on a question somebody asked him...

He gave what he wanted to give when it come to being asked about transfers, not sure why anybody expected any different.

It's clear to see he wants to get back to the footy and not sit around talking to the media. Positive that for me.



Part of the problem is people expecting things to be done so quick. Especially in this day and age with Facebook and Twitter, people believe every rumour and cry and cry for details, even if the thing is completely wrong.

The info will only get out when it's good enough to get out. Look at Williams this week, it come out and within a few days it was all wrapped up. To me, that's fine.

Same with me mate, as I say I wasn't complaing. I was more think out loud why some are a little disgruntled

Right, well I didn't mean YOUR thoughts were revisionist. Many many times the claim has been made by people 'well connected' to the club(and I use that because, at this point, i dont think there is anyone like that anymore, theres just nothign coming out of the club these days with info) have said that the amount we have is well in excess of that £100m amount and had been claimed quite a bit at the beginning of the summer. Now people are saying 'the CLUB never said that, you're just making stuff up'.

Again, I couldn't care less about how much we spend. I'm really really bothered by the fact we haven't addressed, by far, our 2 biggest glaring weaknesses and the season is about to kick off.
