this is going to sound stupid, but getting rid of howard would be just as good a feeling as signing yarmolenko, for me.

Not stupid at all. I would sooner see a competent keeper week in week out than another great attacker. Yarmolenko would be great but sorting the farcical keeper situation is far more imperative.
Strangely just selling Howard this window and no incoming would potentially see us stronger. That is how mental the goalkeeper situation has been this season.

Can only imagine Howard going will be in a summer move to Colorado as opposed to straight away.
It's underestimated how a good keeper can make a defence better. Get someone who knows how to organise with in-play situations and we'd stop leaking goals left right and centre.
The same players didn't achieve our highest 'prem' points total with awful defending.

Thing is they'd want him now because it's their preseason at the moment. They start a training camp at the end of January. Can't see too many MLS teams taking him in the summer since it will be half way through their season and he would be a major player for them to bring in.
I think any MLS team would take him at any time because of his value to their brand image in the states.
Ukrainian footy journalist says that if it's between us and Dortmund for Yarmolenko, he think's he would choose us.

Not sure about that though since Howard would be a DP or whatever it's called. Plus Howard's not getting any younger. I imagine if they want him they'll want him in time for the new season.
