Everton Transfer Thread 2016

That was due to the length of his contract. If we sign Yarmolenko we won't have to think about selling until 30 just due to how long he'll be contracted.
Point is, if he comes here and seriously impresses he can go to one of the really big boys (like Stones currently being monitored if you believe the rumors) or if he falls short of his HUGE expectations (layed on thick by Kiev's chairman by the way) he'll end up like Mirallas. Impressive in his own way but never going to dislodge anyone in Barcelona's squad.

''21 million''

''9x champions''

''Never left Ukraine''

So yeah I'd say big move covers it.

Sure, big money and of course, we have a past we can be proud of, but our only trump card can be the prestige of the Premier League and maybe we can outbid his wages (but so can other top clubs he is rumoured with), because he would have to give up Champions League footie for us, which we are highly unlikely to be able to offer him on the short or medium term... so I can't really see it happen, but what the heck, who knows, maybe Roberto's affable charm offense bears its fruits.

I mean if it's between us and Dortmund exclusively he'd get more game time with us surely? and can look at Stones and Rom being looked at by Barca, PSG, etc if he is looking to "step up" eventually. Doesn't Kiev's chairman look poorly on Bundesliga?

I'm not too sure about the chairman's view, but it's a bit of a weird one if he has a say in Yarmolenko's future. :D Apart from the transfer nehotiations naturally.

I haven't seen him play that much, a couple of times in the Ukranian league, which is nowhere near the BPL. They are decent defensively, but the players' technique is sometimes cringeworthy.

Right but I already said as much hahalol he could go but our hand was forced a bit with Arteta and with the pie in the sky Yarmolenko we could theoretically knock back any bid of anything without worrying of a return.
Just saying the two situations were completely different in all this hypothetical thinking. Either way I just want him here.

yeah I was thinking of the chairman just turning down Dortmund because he doesn't think the Bundesliga is prestigious enough for Yarmolenko. Just hope it's resolved one way or another soon. rather not go down to deadline day!

I have a feeling it's Byram, then Yarmolenko or nothing. I very much doubt we'll go for anyone else beyond maybe a loan if Yarmolenko doesn't come off.
Yeah, it's not the position Martinez wants, it's the player. It's Yarmolenko or nothing, for him.

Hmm, could do. Been linked with a few in the football league haven't we?
lad from charlton, zach clough, and dembele all linked again recently.

Think our first choice will again be a young lad with potential, if we can't do that we'll go for a more experienced striker on loan, from outside of the prem.

Lukaku may have been £8mil down but was more like £18mil over his contract i though?

Tielemans would be about the same and transfer values have increased...

Even if we did go for him then the Juve link wouldnt surprise me as hed be an ideal replacement for Pogba if he reached his potential.

Going to be some player and i'd have him over almost anyone else in CM -- him or Bernardo Silva would be amazing.

Yarmolenko better fit in our team on the left BUT Tielemans with Barkley,McCarthy,Besic/Cleverley as long term centre mids would be class.

Praet also a good player but not on tielemans level, good playmaker but a bit of a "showy" player....they have another centre mid whose just come through whose also pretty underated behind these two.
Tielemans is not even A mainstray in Belgium anymore heaps of belgs reckon he is vastly overrated and he would be lucky to go for 20mil Euro payet is and will be the better player imo
