The more we get linked to Yarmolenko and the longer it takes.. The more likely someone else might sneak in and buy him. Just hurry up and sign him Everton! I haven't seen much of him so don't know if hes that good but just sign him anyway, i like his name ye seeee

Not sure about that. Think the way forward will be a central midfield
combination of McCarthy and Besic. Not having a go here at Barry at all, just believe those two would add the best possible protection to our back four. Both are young, mobile, energetic, all action midfielders. McCarthy as the all out defensive midfielder, Besic as sort of a box to box one. As said, not having a go at Barry as I certainly can see what he brings to the team. Just think the other combination is the way forward

I agree but I don't see Barry dropping out of this team for 18 months yet.

Wish it was a better link to Traore than The Metro, no, ive never watched him play, but left sided attacking player that scored a load while on loan, sounds super.

......also, not sure of the relation between the clubs following the failed Stones bid and they might be nervous of how the Lukaku deal has panned out.

......bits and bobs in the rumour pages;

A report claims we're interested in bringing Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore on loan but will have to pay his £40k per week salary.
Daily Mail has the Stones to Barca story but says the offer is £35m plus Marc Bartra.
Oviedo to QPR on loan and Yaramelenko to us rumours persist.
Reports that Byram has agreed terms and passed a medical at Everton.

Who's he then

There's absolutely no firm evidence to show that we are in for him this window mate.

If it goes through, think it will be very late on.

doesn't that prove his point?
I don't recall seeing him play or standing out in anyway
yeah it does, which is why a lot of people would call for him to be signed despite not having seen the lad.

Its like the bakkali thing, probably loads of calls for him to be signed 2 years ago, largely on the back of fifa saying he was a top player in the making and 2 years on in real life he was a bit of a tit and hasn't progressed at all.

Rotting in the reserves at Valencia now is he not?

He may well be. Never broke out of PSV (i think) and joined them instead in the summer. Considering he was a potential world star 2 years ago, from what i read up a while ago the main issue is his attitude rather than lack of ability.

Yeh, but £35mil + Bartra for Stones is the best offer we'll ever get for him. I'd really think about that one.
Or the flip side to that is we sell out right to the highest bidder and have one of holgate/foulds/galloway to replace him with if they are good enough for the first team. then it gives us more money to invest elsewhere.
