Faux outrage at best, no?

I am perplexed by your repeated mentions in this thread about how the role of moderator gives posters more credibility. I assure you that this is an entirely subjective assessment that the vast majority of us find totally incomprehensible. @Julio Ananas has more credibility than most of the moderators FFS.

The Esk posts well-reasoned and thoughtful posts, often on very interesting topics. He also treats everyone with dignity and patience, more so than I could ever be arsed to do. These are the factors that give him an element of credibility. The moderator role is just a by-product of that.

Now please stop banging on about one of the very few functional human beings on here. Pick on someone who deserves some abuse, like @Bungle or @Baines' left foot.
I refute this!

Agree besides for the fact that the player we are linked with is absolutely terrible mate, rather have a 19yo lad in kenny or Holgate playing there and developing than a 26yo rubbish player whose no better and won't ever improve

Exactly the type of crap signing we should be avoiding if we want anyone to come through from the youth ranks

Martina wasn't rubbish at all last season mate if you actually saw him play.

The worldie goal vs Arsenal a-side, for a first season in the Prem any time I saw him he did just fine.

Again, I'm not saying I'm overly keen but if the manager thinks we definitely do need out-and-out back-up there, then so be it.

Goalkeeper still needed, Hart is the obvious choice. Think that could go till the final day though.
Not for the money City are currently asking.

Centre Back still needed? For me its either a CB or RB we need to bring in. Holgate can step up and play either position. Kone still wanting out of Sunderland so therefore maybe that could still happen. Also McCarthy shown he can job somewhat of a job and RB so always that option too.
Holgate would develop better by starting every week in one position at this point in his career. I would like to see him out on loan somewhere in the championship, maybe even the prem. He will make little progress as our #4 CB and backup RB, getting six or eight starts and a dozen sub appearances.

McCarthy isn't any more of a RB than Besic is. Playing him there does not provide cover or competition for Coleman, it just rams a square peg into a round hole.

think if we could offload Gibson somewhere and bring in Schneiderlin for about £20/25m than that would be great business. I feel he'd be a great player for us, i'd like to see us get someone of that quality. Don't think Davies will have much of a role this season in the first team.
Davies, like Holgate, needs regular games at this point. A loan would serve him well. Gibson out and Schneiderlin in gets my vote.

Do we still need another winger or centre forward? Deulofeu and Mirallas could be used as centre forward so they can be used there. Lucas Perez linked who from his record last season and his youtube videos doesn't look to bad. However Niasse looked ok in January from the youtube videos I saw.
We don't need wingers. We have Lennon, Mirallas, Del, Bolasie and even Ovideo can fill in there. Strikers however.... we all know that Kone and Niasse are awful, and need to go. RK kept calling Bolasie a striker in the presser last week, but I would prefer to see someone else come in too.
