I'm with @MoutsGoat here. Still think we're aiming to get at least 5 in and a couple of outs. Not much time left though, gonna be frantic these last few days.

The fact it's going to have to be frantic is why I don't think it will be that many.

Everton and frantic doesn't seem to fit. Certainly not as well as Everton and ponderous does!

To be honest why are we big in europe? Genuine question here as we have only won one trophy there in what 50 years? Why would we be seen as big there? In fact more to the point considering we haveb't been a top team in england since the 80's, i am sure people would have forgotton we existed ala all the other european teams that have faded away.

I just don't get this 'big in europe' point when we have not really done anything in close to 32 years to make us stand out from any other team who has had a flirt with european competitions.

And considering how long it has been since we last won a trophy in europe, most of the players we want to bring in weren't even born then

Players don't go to 'big' clubs that haven't been winning things though, they go to 'top' clubs who have

There's a difference.

Everton are a BIG club. We aren't a TOP club.
