Thank the Lord he's gone..
Right back to what this thread is about! I do hope we make some more signings before next week.. I have faith that we will.

If we don't it's not been a horrendous window... I mean Kone scored 2 last night and the second was Messi esk.. so who needs a new striker. .. right? Right?

Bolasie 28M, Gueye 7.1M, Williams 12M - thats 47.1m and we sold Stones for 47.5 and we are actively seeking new players and have a 21M bid in for Lamina Kone.

Some of you are just determined to see the negative on every single angle.

Also pretty sure of that £47.5m Barnsley were entitled to about £7m due to the sell on clause in Stones's contract!

Don't worry. This will be my last post here. I shall join a forum where I am not persecuted by moderators because I don't agree with them and where people of differing opinions are not shouted down with the implicit support of moderators.

Good day.
What will his next name be?

Trust me mate I've grown up having had us win 1 trophy in my entire lifetime (I was two months old in May 95)

However, we are a big club. That really can't be debated.

We aren't a top calibre club anymore though.

Look at Villa, Forest, Leeds - big, big clubs. Crap, but big.

There is a difference between a big club and top team. Man City are a top team, but they have a long way to go before they are a big club In the leagues of United, Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool. History books will back this up.

City need to continue being successful over at least a ten year period, they will then overtake us into about 4th place in terms of trophies, Not sure on exact figures but Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and United are built on tradition and success over a prolonged period (upto 20 years ago for us of course).

to be fair you didn't answer my question, why are we considered big in europe?

A big historic club.

Work with a Dutch lad (based in the media not just a random dutchie haha) - who says Everton are big ove rthere (in terms of history, titles, players etc)

Even in places like Germany and Spain - we're big, well known, renowned...

But, that doesn't mean the top players will flock to us, as relatively speaking we've been average for 30 years...

Something strange I have noticed. The perceived ITKs on here, TEF and elsewhere, they all have said less and less ( to the point of silence) as the end of the window has approached whereas one would expect it to the be the other way around.
Some of the comments whipped after The Esk and co after rumours they shared not panning out, doesnt make that the least surprising.
