Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Something strange I have noticed. The perceived ITKs on here, TEF and elsewhere, they all have said less and less ( to the point of silence) as the end of the window has approached whereas one would expect it to the be the other way around.
Yeah good point, only "in the news" players are popping up, don't know if I like it or not!! Still hoping we pull a gem out of nowhere but have to admit I was getting excited by some of the names floated about..

A big historic club.

Work with a Dutch lad (based in the media not just a random dutchie haha) - who says Everton are big ove rthere (in terms of history, titles, players etc)

Even in places like Germany and Spain - we're big, well known, renowned...

But, that doesn't mean the top players will flock to us, as relatively speaking we've been average for 30 years...

Guillem Balague was saying similar things about how European clubs view us a few weeks back (sorry no link)
He said that abroad we are actually revered more than we are in England!

Think we could be announcing the dual signings of Euro 2016 semi finalist players this Friday.

Robson Kanu as cover for Rom and the welsh wizard of Vaughan as a replacement for the traitor.

So, we are in to the home stretch. The last 7 days. It feels a bit like running a marathon keeping up with our twice seasonally transfer threads!
Mentally and physically drained here.
This time has been better than most years though, mainly due to the fact we have something to be more positive about - stuff like having a new manager who knows what he's doing, a new investor who knows what he's doing and oodles of cash to chuck about.
The ignore button has helped immensely too, that cannot be understated! Bedwetters fell in their droves. The thread was less cluttered.
That is until now. In this last week I'm expecting tonnes of activity from both the club and the legions on here!
Surely the 5000 page target will be broken? Does Jim White and his dumb yellow tie know about that? Much more important than whether clubs spend more than a billion pounds surely?
Anyway, I don't know who we will sign, I don't even know how many, or if we will get rid of any - but I'm sure Koeman and his team will see us right.
Personally I would tell all the dithering clubs we are dealing with and players like Ghezzal, Hart, Kone, Witsel etc to do one and concentrate on alternatives.
That's not to say I don't want them here but I always prefer to have players at our club that actually WANT to play for us.
It's going to be interesting whatever happens but as long as the team keep winning I'm happy to leave the big decisions to the professionals who are employed to do a specific job and keep the bedwetters on ignore til September 2nd!
COYB!!!!
