Everton Transfer Thread 2016

You don't know a thing about why Koeman agreed to come, stop being so condescending. Seems to be a trait of yours.

Well it's not purposeful mate, but you genuinely said that the only reason the manager came here was for transfers?

I'm not claiming to have inside knowledge but I seriously seriously doubt that was the case - especially given how Koeman explicitly said last week that he didn't like to be involved in transfer deals / negotiations but would rather concentrate on training and preparing the squad for the next game, and simply identifies players that he believes would improve us (along with Walsh of course).

So....we're not signing anyone else in between now and 2018? I don't quite follow what you are getting at?

Of course they'll sign players, but the club's not setup well for the future. We're all smart enough here to understand these things take time, but there's nothing you can look at in the present squad and say, "Everton are going to be in Europe in two or three years."

After the excitement of the early window, followed by the dawning reality of how difficult it is to convince top players to buy in to Moshiri's project.....I'd be happy with a few good signings to replace the outgoings. Players who will bring something useful the squad. Players who, when they appear on the touchline waiting to come on, we're not rolling our eyes at and muttering "sake". If we end up with a squad stronger than the one we finished last season with - I'll be happy with that.

That's an interesting comment Steve, can you explain further, particularly the Everton reference?

I remember quite a few years ago that Everton(represented by BK or Sir Philip Carter?) were the driving force in making the payment of transfer fees payable over length of contract. Absolutely no doubt about this, it was reported in detail at the time(whenever it was!)

What are you talking about?

Think it'll be Schderlin personally ... Would be delighted if it was ... Not getting inner Man U ... Unless it's a total surprise and has never been mentioned

I really dont want us to sell McCarthy. Yes, like all our players, he wasnt good last season, but I have not forgotten how fantastic he was for us his first season. He is still young, and with a real manager coching him, he will come good again.
