I mean this in all honesty. With regard to Yarmolenko, he's a very talented player who has been linked to Barcelona and Chelsea. Is he coming here to join a squad, or be part of a stepping stone to a big club immediately? because if it's the latter is he going to gel with the squad and is it going to exacerbate issues that martinez stopped by selling Eto'o? Look at Arnautovic in Stoke - a few good performances and he's turning down contract extensions. Is that going to rub off onto other talented players and possible hasten a break up of the squad?

The truth mate is I don't think a lot of people who post here want to see what a precarious position we are actually in. They'd rather blindly trust Roberto and to a lesser extent the board. But if our ambitions are let's say champions league then we should see that being low balled by the likes of West Ham and losing out means we have issues that need addressing.

Why would a player come to sit on our bench rather than start for a mid table Prem club?

He wasn't going to be displacing Coleman anytime soon. It was the correct decision for his career, regardless of your opinion on managers and boards.

Had it been a LW, I'd be more concerned.

Theres no chance in hell that Yarmolenko would sign with us when teams like Dortmund are possibly after him. We will end up with some kid from fulham and left with only semi-jolly mind for being such a gentlemen.

On your West Ham point, it will be interesting to see what Byram says in his press conference, if he mentions anything about being promised first team football with them.

Mate we've lost out on a Championship right back.

Can you just be ok about it?

Why would he do that? Even if it's true, it just adds pressure the moment he is benched or doesn't play every minute. He'll trot out the usual platitudes about big club, great opportunity etc. same as if he joined for us

I'm pretty sure they get told what to say half the time. Can't just be coincidence that every player that signs for the RS seems to think they're "one of the biggest clubs in the world" lol
