Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Like I mentioned earlier perhaps we had second thoughts (someone else become available or something) and that's what swayed him to go to west ham. We didn't need him anyway IMO would of been a bit of a pointless signing when Colemans going to play 90% of the games at RB.
Yes im sure we had second thoughts what with dragging him to ff giving him a medical, agreeing personal terms and then to top it all off offer Leeds a higher fee than west ham.

For the older people like myself. Just what would Alan harper be worth in today's market. The lad could play anywhere. He could easily fill in at fullback on either flank and provide cover in centre midfield. Can't think of any better sub during this era, Kendall must have loved him and his ability to adapt. He would save a fortune on wages nowadays as he could cover 3 players positions just on his own. Never will forget his Derby goal at goodison or the wonder strike at Chelsea.

Bešić.

Everything is not a conspiracy. Usually if a team wants a player bad enough they get him. I agree with others that maybe Everton had a rethink after speaking to him and assessed our real needs and cooled after it all took place. Maybe they had a take it or leave it kind of mentality. Similar to the center back West Ham so graciously courted more than Everton. (Worked out well for them so far)

Might need that money to fill another position or just saving it for the summer window as a few positions will need filled then.

His brief stint in centre mid with sheeds was a revelation. Could really do with someone this versatile now. Maybe even as versatile as Snodin even.

Regardless I'm glad, I felt he wasn't good enough anyway and would only have been a bench warmer, Offering more money than WHU where's the source?. It won't be stated by the club but I still reckon we wanted out and probably moved the goalposts at the last minute.

Same with Richardson. He won three league titles with three different clubs but was berated by the fans, just like Harper
