Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Come on chaps, half the fun of the Transfer Window thread is the rumours and paper talk.

Cut the lad some slack
I heard that Bill is going ahead with plans to build an new Stadium on the MOON!!

you heard it here first.

Remember I was the one that broke the story about how we were probably going to concede at least one goal against Chelsea 48 HOURS before the match kicked off!!!

Is there any sources that are truthful a bout him joining WHU, as I just read we agreed a deal that would rise to 5 million if that's true I'm over the moon we lost out, 3 million total should have been tops for a player unproven at PL level.

There is mate, the same old twitter sources who said he'd agreed to join us. The ones who've already got hit wrong once.

I've never seen the lad play and I am quite happy with our right back so not arsed at all but if Roberto wanted him then I'd rather he was here but I am sure he'll only pay what he's worth. At best I think we're only going to get a Yarmalenko signing once a year, if at al,l so a player like him, young, english, highly rated with loads of potential ticks all the boxes for new signing I'd like to see us take.

i find our lack of quality signings disturbing.

We have a quality side. We'll see movement towards the end of the window I reckon - Byram was the one to get over the line as he was available. Unfortunately a World Cup winning side have come in for him and to be honest we never really stood a chance.

Naismith = hopefully gone today

McGeady = ? Sheff Wed or just a loan?

Gibson = Loan anywhere as out of contract in summer?

Howard = Colorado???

Really hope these 4 go...even if howard is signed for the summer or whenever if we know now hes off then we can relax a bit.

So far only Tarashaj and Foulds so if these 4 go then we can expect movement.

As for Byram, pretty disappointing not to get him but shows for me he has a lack of confidence. If it was Man Utd or Arsenal not us in for him then people would question why sign for west ham...if he doesnt feel hes good enough to get in our team then we shouldnt want him.

I'm not to bothered if you think it's waffle mate

I told you lot on Monday afternoon Byram was going to West Ham, 24 hours before any news outlet broke the story
No offence meant mate. I haven't read much of this thread to be honest. Just pop in and out. Was trying at some humour there.
Happy if you are correct.
Heard anything else regarding signings?

Agree mate, but by all accounts the player wants first-team football, and as I said last night, the fact that a Championship full-back (albeit a very promising one) can walk straight into a West Ham team supposedly challenging for Europe should prove the gulf in quality in certain areas of our squad compared to theirs.

...Basically, our full-backs are boss

First team = GK / LW /CM
Squad = RB / LW / CF

Thats whats needed i think. Shame about Byram as he ticks a box there. I think Martinez needs at least 2 boxes ticked this window leaving us with 4 needed in the summer when 5 players are out of contract.

For all those saying Byram showed a lack of confidence so we wouldn't want him anyways blah blah blah, it's the same scenario as when Mirallas signed for us instead of Arsenal. We were fine with it then. Can't blame the lad for wanting to play. It sucks, but it makes sense for him.

It really doesn't even suck that much either. We failed to sign a player that would never have got in front of Coleman anyway.
