Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I think we've done some good business this window so far.
I'm just putting it out there, that if we don't sign nor offload anyone else, personally I'm fine with it.
We do need to strengthen but not at any price, and not some desperation buy, late in the window (a la Naisse...)
Lets just see where we end up on Thursday morning, and take stock.
Additional signings and outgoings or not, no reason to panic at all imho.

I think we'll be ok defensively but if we don't get a top striker and playmaker in we'll struggle to score and make top six, we'll hit patches of bad form if we don't seriously bolster the creative/finishing side of our game which will be a shame because it would have been achievable.

Agree there is no need for panic. The season is long enough though, even without Europe.

At an absolute minimum we need a second striker and someone to add a little extra flair and creativity from midfield, though of course we should not be held to ransom and buy for the sake of it, but I think things have changed in that regard anyway - we have probably have had plenty of opportunities to sign players that we turned down, as well as having offers rejected ourselves.

Don't think we'll hear anything today, but at the very least if Brahimi and Gabbiadini are going to sign then the noise towards that should become stronger by tomorrow.

I still feel we will pull a surprise from somewhere by Wednesday.

We absolutely need to buy a striker.

Niasse was bought as a replacement (he's been an absolutely terrible one) replacement for Naismith. With Koeman stating that Niasse has absolutely no future at Goodison, we can not go into the new season with just Kone and Lukaku. I don't know much about this Italian lad but a striker is absolutely vital.

wel be badly stuck if anything happens to Rom , Barry and either of Jags and Williams. I trust the club to address this (or even try) before deadline

I noticed that Koeman is rightly very game focused in his pre-match press conferences but he loosens up a bit in the interviews afterwards, particularly as results have been good. Walsh is supposedly very secretive but that's not a bad thing either.

When RK was interviewed on Sky saying he would be disappointed if we didn't make more signings, I took that to mean we would get at least one more. There was scope for the interviewer to probe him as little further as to numbers, but he obviously didn't take that opportunity.

Either way, all will be revealed, or not, as the case may be, very soon.
