The board didn't want to get rid of Martinez. The fans forced their hand.

I think Koeman will do better and finish around 6th-8th assuming we aren't hit too badly with injuries during the season. At the very least I think even if we are below that the fans won't be quite as toxic with Koeman because of the way we play. At least now we look like we are trying and it's also only his first season.

One thing I can't understand, Arsenal are crying out for a player like Wilshire, but supposedly would be happy to loan him out? Hhmmmmmmmm...

Because he's played a total of 178 minutes more than I have for Arsenal over the last 2 seasons.

Not even a shred of a link but i'd take Jack Wilshire on loan for a year.

That wasn't the only reason the fans turned on Martinez. It was the style of play, the way we lost games and the fact we lost them at home.

At least everyone is now happy with Koeman and the 1st 11 is actually a very strong team if perhaps lacking a bit of a cutting edge.

It should. He's probably a good enough player, but with all the talk of his blatant unprofessionalism, I think this is a good move for everyone involved.
