Shawcross literally goes against everything Martinez is about - he's the one type of player he wouldn't buy. He's really not all that either, wouldn't exactly take us on to the next level.

Coz hes a fouling get....tall and actually rather good with his head. He also rarely gets booked even when grabbing attackers by the shirt or hair..we need that kinda defender...one that regularily gets away with murder. I also dont care whether hes a martinez player or not. He's been here three seasons now and (imo) wrecked our defensive shape....we dont need anymore ball players back there.. we need nasty but lucky....and TALL.

Is Jack Grealish actually any good? I've seen him have one decent performance for Villa against the RS in the cup - but that is it.

He is a left sided attacking midfielder who could potentially do the wide left job.

Was massively hyped last season but likely to be out of Villa in the summer. No direct links but I've heard us lumped in with lots of other clubs who may want to take him on and get him back on track.
 
For the love of God we are not buying a keeper... Have we listened to anything Martinez has said recently, he loves Howard and Robles is next in line. At least 200 pages have been about a keeper. It's not happening this window Stop doing it to yourselfs please...

Grealish has a bad attitude and isn't putting in the effort despite playing for the team he grew up supporting. Wouldn't fancy having him here.

Fair enough but I will simply refer you to Stoke's loss to Liverpool in the semi-final first leg a few weeks back.

Time after time he had the opportunity to pass the ball from the back and relieve some pressure against Liverpool's high line. Time after time he elected to boot it out, allowing Liverpool to apply more pressure from a throw-in and get their defence pressing high - where as initially, it had just been the forwards.

Agree that he is a solid defender, I've no doubt in that, but there's better out there.
 
One good thing bout bobby, players attitudes deff play a big part in who he wants around, so we dont have 2 worry bout adebayor heading r way, wasted talent but his heads so far up his own ass instead of looking 4 team mates on the pitch, he spends half the game looking round the stadium 4 people with his name on there shirt

I'm not saying there's not, I just feel in our current climate, I for one would feel more comfortable with less cruyff and more Balde !!

I'd be very unhappy to see Adebayor sign for us

Hopefully Martinez is smart enough not to invite that virus into our changing room

Jack Grealish is one of the many reasons why I know i'm not cut out to be a manager in the game.

He's heralded as a hot prospect, he's on good money, England have been fighting over his allegiance..

But to me he is absolutely cack. I've never seen what the fuss is about.

Plus the way he wears his socks and that guff hair cut make me want blend my own feet.
