I think it will be the other way around. We will bid higher than Spurs but below 30m and when that is accepted Spurs will offer a couple of million less and the player will force a move there.

Kone would be a great buy, solid centreback. Where he fits in with Jags Mori Williams I don't know. All 4 will want to be first choice.

How are we letting Bony go to Stoke on loan?

Is there any rhyme or reason to this summer's transfer activity? Using up the Stones cash (apart from the Williams purchase) on positions we're not badly off in; neglecting fundamental weak spots that need to be addressed like striker, ACM, and GK. I'd also have prioritised cover at RB before I would have another CM or winger.

Maybe Koeman (you know, our manager) doesn't actually rate Bony or have an interest in him mate?
