How are we letting Bony go to Stoke on loan?

Is there any rhyme or reason to this summer's transfer activity? Using up the Stones cash (apart from the Williams purchase) on positions we're not badly off in; neglecting fundamental weak spots that need to be addressed like striker, ACM, and GK. I'd also have prioritised cover at RB before I would have another CM or winger.

Kind of I guess, but why'd he have to involve us? If he'd said no straight off they still would have been left with just Juve bidding today, yes?

I deffo believe he was interested in our offer, and was mulling it over, but was also playing for time to see if anyone else came in (champions league club) once Juventus came in, we became insignificant.

He's box to box in the same sense that Cleverley is. In fact Cleverley has more end product.

Well, sort of agree. Would have been nice to mug a club for £15m+ for McCarthy - would have lessened the Sissoko blow in terms of the fee.

Surely nobody wants us to bring another right back in? if you do then please never moan about Koeman not giving youth a chance, Holgate / Browning / Kenny will all be adequate back-up to Coleman.

Giving youth a chance is being able to pick and chose the games they play when right for their development not when we have to.

That said Holgate does look good.

Wonder if we wait for spurs to agree a deal for sissoko then swoop in there and say we will match it and throw in Mcgeady and Niasse free of charge as well on top of the fee?
