Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Listening to that there's 0 chance he's coming here, this isn't being negative, it sounds like he'll have plenty of options in the summer, so why would he decide to sign for a team in the bottom half of the league, who will probably pay him much less money than others, and no European football, it'd be mad really.

my take on it is Rebrov has changed tack over insisting he should stay and they need him, to now saying he understands he will move soon and he should go to a top top team - basically trying to get him to turn down moves hoping for a bigger team to come in

I take from this that we have bloody no chance.

As I have repeatedly said, it is not off.

Dortmund walked away, so I was told. Kiev/Ukraine press report a pre CL City game transfer fee of £30m euros. Summer nearer £25m euros. But that is hugely dependant on his from in the European Championship obviously. So a preliminary deal this window might be an option.

But nothing concrete from my source's source, if that makes sense.

Why are people fuming about that Echo article. It says nothing new at all. He (Martinez) doesn't say we're not going to sign everybody, he's just maintained that January isn't the time for a major squad re-shuffle - which is what he's said all along in his time here - because you don't get value for money.

He's also right in that we have a good squad - unfortunately they're under-achieving at the moment.

Still think that'll be a case of 2 more (McGeady and Gibbo) out, and 1 in - possibly a loan - on deadline day.

Yarmolenko is a pipe dream but we'll just have to wait and see.

O I didn't realize the season was over. If he himself truly feels that him coming here wouldn't have an effect on the first bit and that he wouldn't achieve the second bit with us for next year then I don't see a point in getting him.

I know you're have your info mate but it doesn't feel to me the outsider like there's any hope.

Literally the only reason I think he may choose us, Rebrov just said it will probs be his choice, is that he is fully aware that we've wanted him for ages. And it's nice to feel wanted. Like Naismith and Norwich.

But you'd just have to think some clubs in a better position than us (not bigger clubs I should add) will be all over him offering wages and Europe and generally stuff we can't.

I'm not sure a preliminary deal would be allowed now either. He's not out of contract in the summer so we wouldn't be allowed to do that.

He wont have many options if he has poor/average euros?. The other teams he is linked with now, either don't have the money or have good players in his position.

i would be interested to know if he had any clauses in his new contract besides the alleged gentleman's agreement with Surkis.

If he's looking at the table now, were in the bottom half, he doesn't know Everton from Adam, let's not pretend otherwise, so the first thing he'll look at is league position, and at the moment we look as good a team as Torino or Malaga.

You may well be right mate. I have never said its on, just passed the info I get on.

Good point re a preliminary actually. Was told that before the contract was signed probably.

Thing is, my source has never discounted the possibility, even in his own opinions, which he is always extremely sure to express as that, not sourced detail. He has however discounted other clubs; Dortmund, Stoke, (I know), to name 2 off the top of my head.

It's a strange one with the Euros, if the tournament proves he can't cut it at a higher level then nobody will want him apart from us?

You honestly think if we've been this interested in him for this long he's not bothered to at least watch a few of our games? He's meant to be interested in the league as well so I think you are the one pretending he has absolutely no clue about us. My main point which you've not addressed is that if he doesn't feel he could massively help any team then I don't want him here anyway because then the attitude wouldn't match the talent.

Wait and see mate. As always with us!

Wouldnt worry about that mate. Apparently.

I actually think that IF we are trying then we won't get a sniff of it IF we complete until it's about to be announced, think a lot of the stuff in the summer was trying to use the media to try help push a deal over the line, since then theirs been a lot of things from his agent and a few leaks from us etc which almost seem designed to keep the deal alive, word out of Kiev, Surkis, Rebrov and Yarmolenko has changed in tone from a deal not possible like they said in the summer to a deal is possible IF the price is right from all 3, his agent has even stopped using facebook about us making a deal like he was doing...

Theirs nothing sewrved now IF a deal is in serious negotiations and all parties have accepted a sale can happen from using the media anymore

I know their is a fair few IFS and BUTS their but thats my take on things anyway
