No replacement for Naismith being lined up at the minute and no movement with Gibson and McGeady

Guessing that's from the presser.

I always expected any business to be late on in the window anyway, so as always we'll take that comment as a pinch of salt.

1 in, 2 out on deadline day is what i'm expecting... then again I'm not holding my breath.

He's chatting out of his rear end again mate

Has he touted Howard as a fantastic and experienced player again?

One of the journos (and it should be the local press) needs to grill him on Howard. That's the issue here and it's plain for all to see.

They should be confronting Martinez with the facts in a presser, where he cannot avoid the question.

Someone asked what Joel has to do to get a game in the league and he just chatted balls again saying joel has been brilliant and just blanked the question saying he has the mentality!! Asked if Howard is still number 1 he says no comment our focus is on tomorrow

Burnley have signed Paul Robinson today is their a chance we could go in for Tom Heaton, England's 2/3 choice keeper?
Given he's not played a game in a year and has been without a club since the summer, I highly doubt they've signed him as anything other than cover

Hahah.

Yeh that's whatever I've thought when I've seen him play to be honest - which is only if I've been covering one of the big teams in a match against them.

Kind of reminds me of Mbokani who's at Norwich in that they're both big, powerful forwards with a bit of pace, but just don't ever seem to reach the standard that they could be capable of in the Prem very often.

However, if it's true and we're willing to make a bid, I think he could present a decent option as a back up forward. However, I'm not sure if he's really an improvement on Kone...

meant to ask you before when you mentioned covering games, but who are you working for if you dont mind saying?

Have met a couple of guys here doing commentary for random foreign tv on spanish football or general reporting for papers back in England.

Can we just pay them to take him? just give them the Byram money we where going to pay...

I think most people would give him away...

As fof Tom Heaton....he has the same number of letters in his name as Tim Howard and is also pretty awful so its a no from me.

Need to aim for superstars or may as well be happy to finish 12th.
