but they aren't really are they? Similar scoring records at the same level. If QPR hadn't stumbled up a division they would be no different.

Rhodes could come up and score for fun or he could be an earnshaw, but the lad is a quality striker who just needs to make that step up.

Austin is better than Rhodes mate. Honest.

Agree that Rhodes is a decent player who I think will do well in the Prem, but Austin is just that bit better.

I wanted Austin. He was £4m and has scored in the Premier League before.

Jordan Rhodes is over double what Austin was, and has never even stepped foot in the prem.

Totally different.

Agree Ijj. Austin is better.

Had his mind set on Sotton since the summer though, he's said it himself. Main reason no other club was in for him.

Mate I do worry about you.

We aren't gonna spend £11mil on any back up striker, especially not one from the champ.

If we sign Niasse, we're spending 'big' money on a player that can fill in for two roles in the starting XI (left side cutting in to support Rom and a back up forward when needed). Rhodes is only useful as a forward.

Rhodes moved to Blackburn ages ago, for big money. If he was going to be a Premiere league striker, it would of happened by now. Only way he'll be in the premiere it will be if he gets promoted with a club.
