Why we have a top right back

Coleman is very good offensively but is average defensively, and his offensive capabilities this season have been limited because our wingers rarely track back, while Aurier can whip in some brilliant crosses and is a great defender. Not to mention there's 0 competition in the right-back spot.

Disagree mate. Watch Coleman and del together, del drops back to let Coleman make a run into the box.

I would rather keep coleman and maybe get some cover for him in the summer

Aurier indefinitely suspended by PSG, who are also apparently interested in Coleman.

Very good right-back, I'd say try for a big-money move in the summer if his fallout with Blanc continues.

Have you seen why he's banned?

No ta.

Also, he's okay, but wouldn't solve any of our issues - he's pretty poor defensively and i've watched loads of PSG this season. Coleman is better.

Cleverley and Barkley would both be Pep faves as they keep the ball. Not sure why ypi dont think Barkley would suit him...
Barkley's best attributes: His running from deep, his shots from distance

Things Guardiola discourages: Midfielders dribbling with the ball, players shooting from distance as it's a waste of possesion

He in no way discourages players dribbling with the ball...

Plus, Pep has changed his style a lot at Bayern, as he's had more physical players than he did at Barca.

It's why he's proven himself as such a good manager. The Bundesliga was the perfect stepping stone for him between La Liga and the Prem. Pep's City team, if it is to be successful, will be very very different to his Barca one.

Barkley would certainly fit into Pep's style.

Just a shame we couldn't get Byrom in from Leeds. Coleman is still a very good right back (very few in the premier league are as good as him) maybe holgate will get some game time next season in the cups to aid his development, if not Oviedo can cover.

Ive seen what he was banned for and IMO its nothing.

Just my viewpoint anyway.

I wouldn't want one of our players insulting the manager homophobic-ally or calling a teammate a clown, like.

It's not really what he's said, though, it's his general attitude.

Plus he's really not all that. He's decent going forward in a team that walks the league - but yet in the same games really struggles to defend well at all.

No ta.

average? he's not average mate, he's won trophies at both domestic level and international level and he has been nominated for player of the year in France in 2013/14 at Toulouse.

he was very impressive at the world cup as well.

IMO, he's decent, but in no way better than Coleman.

He plays in a team that literally stroll the league. To say he's 'won trophies' is a bit of a kop-out...
