There's no signs at all Barry is nearing the end mate.

He was superb the other night and has been all season.

People have suggested putting Barkley there and it's a great idea on paper but he has a tendency to have lapses of concentration and give the ball away, which obviously is a terrible thing to do if you're playing deep. We could put him in a free role on the left similar to Cleverley and how Gerrard used to play.

A keeper too - look at the top 4, all of them have top-quality keepers. Joel's a good keeper but I'm not entirely convinced if he's the real deal. He's not really an outstanding keeper but then he'll just kind of pop up occasionally and have a stormer (Norwich for example). We need a top-drawer keeper if we're to challenge for Europe consistently every season. Fahrmann, Horn and Leno come to mind.

And finally, sell all the aging dross in our squad. We all saw what happened last season, let's not let it happen again. Sell all the Moyes-era deadwood and bring in a good squad to create proper competition.

Starting XI could look something like this:

New keeper

Coleman---Stones---Jags---RFM---Baines

DLP---McCarthy

Lennon---Lukaku---Barkley (free role)

Points 1 & 2 - 100%. Imperative we get a top quality goalie.

Point 3 am not sure about to be honest, we need someone in that position am just not sure he will still be the number 1 choice.
 

A friend of mine (Bayern fan) was saying that there was an Everton scout at a Munich reserves game recently to watch Benatia make his comeback from injury. I have no idea what his source is for that information so i could be jarg but just sharing as anytime I've seen the player he looks like a good defender.

John Stones did German for his A Levels......:confused::eek:
 
I would like to see the defence strengthened and a new GK come in too as that's where are biggest weakness lies.

new RB for competition for Coleman
New centre back with some leadership qualities to help us through the tricky spells
Someone on the left to give us a better balance - Yarmolenko spring to mind

If we can keep hold of Lukaku and Barkley whilst Stones gets his right then we can have a really strong squad for next season then its up to Roberto to deliver

Just my thoughts
