Norwegian midfielder on the radar again

Everton are being mentioned as potential suitors for Markus Henriksen, the 23year-old product of Rosenborg's youth system who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Henriksen was mentioned as a potential Blues target in 2012 and then again in 2013 but nothing came of the speculation and he has continued his development in the Netherlands to the point where he is now being linked with AC Milan, Napoli and Crystal Palace.

The Calciomercato website "exclusively" claims Milan's interest in a player who has scored 17 goals in all competitions from midfield this season.

A reported move to the Colorado Rapids is said to have hit a snag due to claimed wage demands of £70,000 a week

After losing his number one spot to Joel Robles it looks increasingly like Tim Howard will be making his exit from Everton in the summer.
However, a deal to join Colorado Rapids in the MLS has hit a reported stumbling block due to his claimed wage demands of £70,000 a week which amount to a whopping £14m on a four-year deal, reports the Liverpool Echo .
Howard will find it difficult to break his way back into the first team with Spanish stopper Robles putting in a series of excellent displays for the Blues.

Elsewhere today, Everton have been linked with a move for Gent striker Laurent Depoitre, with the Toffees said to be rivalling Tottenham for his signature.
The 27-year-old has scored 11 times in 26 league outings this term, bringing his Gent tally to 27 goals in 38 appearances.
According to reports, it would cost around £12m to prise the forward from the Belgian outfit, and scouts from Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester City, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and West Brom were all said to be present when Gent took on Wolfsburg last week.

Depoitre could be an interesting signing, but it would mean Lukaku will leave. They're both being used as a lone striker.
People calling Lukaku lazy will have a field day with Depoitre though. He starts running at defenders in the first minute and stops only at the end of the game (also in CL)., and is not afraid to come back and help the defense. He's also quite good in his hold up play. He'll never score as many goals as Lukaku though.

Just having a look at him - seems originally to have played mostly as a Defensive mid and sometimes centrally, last two years has been playing almost entirely as an attacking mid, absolutely no idea if he is any good like

Barry replacement? knows his defensive duties but can push forward?

I'm guessing we will need at least one more central midfielder whose good enough to play this summer mate, Gibson does look like being off, which would leave us with McCarthy (who always seems to miss a stretch of games each season with injury), Besic (whose struggled so far with injuries), Cleverley (who seems preferred out wide left and similarly seems to not be the most resilient on knocks) and Barry - who has just turned 35 (and yet strangely is way the most durable)

Manager must realise we are one or two short - something that should next season Barry suddenly hit the wall and McCarthy/Besic/Cleverley have seasons with injuries like this will be highlighted big time

Lad seems the right age to bring in as an 'understudy' to Barry - but realistically probably just a smart agent throwing his name out with every prem club he can do

Yarmo is starting against City tonight. Good time to see what he can do against a top PL team.

He's saying he accidentally wandered into Man City's hotel and didn't know it was their hotel, citing that he was "visiting a friend" as his excuse. Everton that.
