We've a shed load of players for a 4-3-3, Gbamin and Delph were supposedly out combative CMs. May be better going back to that, so a top CM destroyer, and an outstanding Forward is what would kick us on (DCL will never score if leading the line alone) 4-4-2 requires an athleticism, and defensive nouse that none of our wide players have.

Think Ancelloti and Brands need to rethink the idea of putting the likes of Siggurdson, Davies and Iwobi in the shop window by playing them. Every game they play their value is going down.

go back to it, but get three well rounded midfielders who can do everything and have a true metaphorical engine on them , then 2 widemen who can run all day like metaphorical lightening pace and have the touch of an Angel... either metaphor or literal here.

then go back to 4-4-2.

Oh yeah I'd forgotten about the hard urban upbringing of our local lads. Weston can batter and outrun any midfielder in our squad. Fat or not.

So it seems the Septics all want us to sign this McKennie lad from Schalke. I have seen Schalke precisely twice this season, to watch JJK, and I had to check if McKennie played in those games because he made zero impact on me (a bit like Hojbjerg at Saints tbh). He did play apparently. What am I missing?

I see our ladies team have made their 3rd signing of the summer today and it’s a very good signing as well.

The investment promised in that area, pre-covid, certainly doesn’t look like it’s been effected by what’s followed.
