Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I can see Zaha happening you know. Walcott going back to London as part of the deal.

Stats season 20/21-

Walcott 23 goals, 9 assists (Palace)
Zaha 3 Goals, 0 assist (EFC)

Iwobi swap deal plus cash makes massive sense. Palace get a direct replacement good enough for a mid table outfit plus a bit of dough for a wantaway player.

We get Iwobi off the books and have spent less money in the process on his replacement.

Who else remembers??

He’s running out of time on his deal. We need to be selling now.
That doesn’t mean anything given the lack of quality across this team.
Not against us moving him on at all, and it’s a good point with the contract - but I am not comfortable in selling him without buying another ‘specialist’ right winger. By all accounts, the club are wanting to bring one in but we’ve heard that before

We need to get back about 80% of what we paid on Iwobi to avoid a loss on the books.

Can anyone seriously say it's realistic to get about £27m for him this summer?

There's no point in constantly saying he needs to be sold because from a business point of view, we can't afford to. Unless someone bids something crazy and let's face it, that will not happen.

He and Gordon will be on the left wing next year imo

There'll always be someone he's been out on loan plenty - Leeds loved him. he might just not have fitted in at hull.

Wonder if Beni, Broadhead and Connolly are on the block too.
Anybody playing for that heap of turd of a club, possibly the most mismanaged club in a long while would struggle to make an impression. Saw him once for the Tigers and you could see he was head and shoulders above the other deadbeats who tbh looked as if they were by passing him by when he was making space.
