Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Danny Rose has been a brilliant player for Spurs (only cost 1m,) but unfortunately it was very noticeable that he has slowed down and that's why I was quite surprised to read that he's only 30.
He is now not good enough for a top half of the table team but wherever he goes he will give 100% and I'm sure every Spurs supporter will wish him all the best
I seem to remember that he said he didn't like football anymore and couldn't wait to stop playing. He has talent but clearly his heart isn't really in it anymore. In saying that he's a Leeds boy so maybe he'll do well there.

Wonder if we could convince a promoted team to spend up on iwobi or Bernard. Proven PL quality* that can help them survive their first years.

*Players may not actually be quality, but may imitate being a PL player.

So much here Zat that’s wrong.
1. Part of my statement about Pulisic vs Lozano is simply down to the rivalry we have with Mexico
2. Mexican fans constantly banged on about how Lozano was better and Pulisic couldn’t make it at Chelsea. Then he got benched at Napoli and Pulisic is one of the first names on the team sheet for Chelsea these days
3. If you really think breaking into the Dortmund side at 17, getting a 60mil move at 20, becoming a first team regular at a champions league prem side at 21, and scoring better than 1 in 3 in the prem in his first season in the league as a winger is doing very little, then you’re further gone than I thought.

Oh, and Lozano is a full 4 years older and hasn’t done didly outside Holland where defenders are essentially u15 level players.

1 / 2: dont disprove my post**

3: As of this moment he is Jelavic. Hes had a half season of good performances. Talk about overhyping.

4: Lozano has done it in;
Mexico
Holland
European matches
International matches

Not only Holland

5: Do you think Pulisic would have done well as a centre forward at Chelsea? Thats what happened to Lozano.

**fair enough if youre just slating him as a national team rival. In Asia weve been fed Pulisic for years now by American presenters. Not so much Lozano.

Go to bed Zat, you're embarrassing yourself out here tonight.

Shouldn't you be making some other long bizarre list?

Pulisic also has a fair amount of assists, at a much younger age, in a better league. The only reason people think Pulisic is overhyped is because he's American
Yep, and to be fair we do overhype our players quite a bit. But this one is actually producing after being doubted simply because he was American.

Pulisic has been overhyped (which was the point @carolinablue232 was initially making about lozano) to be a future world class player. His name has been everywhere for several seasons now as a wunderkind without actually doimg much for Dortmund.

Their sale price was daylight robbery as he wasnt first choice.

Lozano has had one bad move and been played out of position. I dont understand how hes suddenly overrated...or overhyped.

Hes a very good player.

Christ.

The young Croat Pulisic looks vastly better than Lozano at these point Zatmania.

Make all the excuses you want but hes stinking the gaff out at Napoli.

Selling Delph would be one of the best things we could do this summer.

It would be great to see a positive post from you if he goes lol

Seriously though totally agree, cant wait to see the back of him.

Ben White the centre back was at leeds on loan from brighton as well...id push Keane and Delph to Leeds and give them a full list of our other available players.

besic alao linked to bournemouth and sheff utd

im hoping for a mass clearout on permanents even if we only sign a few players.

That was clearly a list. There were numbered points.

Perhaps its your bedtime rather than mine...

Point i made was that Lozano has been playing 90% as either a sub or a centre forward.

The boy is a wide player.

Very odd Ancelotti played him as support forward imo...hes no Richarlison.

If Ancelotti played him wide i think he would be a great loan with a buy option.

I do think Gordon will get the left hand side role next season

i do like the boy! I’m especially if we can get off to a 4-3-3 and get him, Richy, and keano the midfield to allow them to be creative. Gbamin (if he comes healthy) sitting deep, Gomes, and a another CM would Allow us all the attacking. Digne and a decent RB pushing forward. We would look great imo

I think Lozano is certainly worth a loan for sure.

But nobody can deny that Pulisic looks the player thats handled the step up better.
If the season didn’t restart would you say that? He was bang average and struggling.. (coming from an American absolutely broke my heart). After the league return, he has looked unstoppable. Just all depends on game time, system, and confidence

Please, only 4 points? Thats only a list to normal people. With you thats the pre-amble to the pre-amble of just the title of your 132 page list.

Such as your 62 item list of why being a sub as a wide player isnt actually playing as a wide player.

For sure hes been vastly better after the restart.

Or, the player. Almost anybody who transfers to one of the top leagues has great talent, or at least a banging youtube video. But those that truly succeed have the drive and determination behind it and arent willing to just treat it like a well paid holiday like many of our current players.

5 goals in 1000 minutes is not bang average. Thats what he was before the restart. We would dream of having a 15 goal winger over a full season at that "bang average". Like any player he had to go through a rough patch, and surely has more of those to go, but his success ultimately wont be determined by his talent but by his determination, which Im betting he has in spades.
