Him and Branthwaite are both going to benefit more from a loan than a few sub appearances, 3 League cup starts and praying for an injury to get them in the team. Even if it is a loan or something short term we have to sign a first team CB.

Carlo did not come on a sell to buy transfer policy or say we are going for CL with no money to spend

True, but I think the only way they are ever ready is by trying them in the first team.
Gibson is on loan and performing well, all be it at Fleetwood.
I guess pre season will be the time to assess. If they think he can make it burnt isn’t ready, then a loan may be the best option. That will leave the kitty for CM / RW.

Not necessarily if theres two shots in a game you save one and concede 1 you are at 50%, yet obviously if you are conceding shots you are part of a better defence.

You could have another team who take 15 shots you save 8 you obviously have a better save %, but likely playing in a worse defence and conceding more.

The likes of Foster, Pope, Fabianski and I’d say a Henderson this year will be high on save % because they have huge opportunities to save, but also are capable of clean sheets.
