We can’t just collect players and pay their wages.
If we ever want youth to come through, we have to give them a go and accept they will be raw for a while, else find 30m for a purchase and block the route through for a youngster.
I agree, just don’t think it will be either of the two I mentioned,
If they are any good they should be able to push their way through a 31 year old Coleman and a 30 year old Walcott.
Ancelotti doesnt do favourites and hes not afraid of giving youth a chance.
But we still need a squad, people have been trying to sell Walcott since he was signed, but hes still very much our best option on the right, Coleman also gets a "bad press" from the fanbase, but until somebody better comes along they are our best options on the right.
The percentage of youth players that break through in Premier League clubs is so low its unreal, but people seem to think we should have them coming through all the time.
We currently have 3 very good young players DCL, Holgate and Rico, we bought them all.
Just wait till Bolaise snaps his neck or something getting out of his car.

Either way as you say Tosun and Morgans injuries are proper Everton that, we looked likely to get 20m for Tosun FFS, now we have to put up with "like a new signing" from Evertons twitter when he starts training in October or something.
Sadly I cant see any player we can sell this summer personally, maybe get 4/5m for Besic if he stays fit, but its gonna be hard, hard sell for poor Marcel for anybody else.

If a youngster is good enough you won’t block his path to the first team, we’ve been a mid table average for a good few years. And who have really taken their chance
DCL And Holgate this season, Barkley before them.
We had a great youth team a few years and none have made the breakthrough

I think both will be up for sale, it’s just about whether anyone is willing to pay for them both.
Gomes, Gbamin, Delph, Davies + 1 more who Anceotti signs. We don’t really have room for any more than that.

Delph has done magnificently to come in as a new signing and make me like him less than Snides.
Siggy can't play to an acceptable level in any system or with any partner.

Because everybody who had influence in team selection was worried about results and relegation.NOW!! - the same people won,t let any youngster come through because need to finish top 6. It's a lose - lose and that's what's so sad. My opinion - Include one youngster on the bench in each game. Can't think of any other way tbh.
