Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Any new signings are likely to happen late September / early October - the transfer market has barely started yet.

The Barcelona fire sale will kick things off.

Everton are confident a key part of their transfer strategy can still be executed this summer despite the financial restrictions brought on by the coronavirus crisis.

The Blues were forced to re-think their plans for the window when the Covd-19 pandemic struck and Marcel Brands has warned that it will not be a "big-spending" summer.

But Carlo Ancelotti remains confident the club will be able to land players to make the squad better - "we are going to improve the quality of this team, 100%" he said - with Everton expecting a handful of signings.

Some of you really just need to chill out and let them do their thing..

5mins after that Kirkbride stated were not upping our bid of €20mil for Gabriel to match Arsenal/Napoli at €25mil (despite us previously agreeing €30mil apparently).

Certainly doesnt seem positive for any 'transfer strategy' when Hojbjerg went to Spurs as well.

Zat... clearly the club don't want to pay €30mil for him post-Covid, and especially don't want to end up in a bidding war were his price could go up even further. Hojbjerg didn't even want to come here.

We move on. We aren't the Arsenal's/City's/Utd's/Chelsea's of this world whom can convince most players out there to join the club. We clearly have to work a bit smarter and more long-term now, yet this seems utterly lost on some people.....

what a fine specimen this man is.
