I mean Arteta, pienaar, lukaku, Barry were all loans.
We’ve not done badly in that market.

I suppose it makes room for somebody more developed in their squad but if Tomori comes good they can get him back. It just seems strange that you would strengthen another PL teams squad. With Barry they never intended to get him back, it was more try-before-you-buy. With Lukaku, we did well and Chelsea lost out really. Arteta and Pienaar were from abroad so not really rival clubs.

What it allows us is time.

Tomori coming in at 3rd or 4th choice means we can let Gibson and Branthwaite out on loan and gives us 12 months to find a better CB.
This time next year we’ll be in a much better position from a FFP perspective and the midfield should be sorted.

Because they stay in under 23s for to long, by 19 if they’re not playing mans football they’ll never make it.

Yeah too much stock put in keeping a team together and winning the U23 league, doesn't matter at all, it should just be a platform to get players used to whatever system the senior side plays, rehab for young lads who've suffered injuries and a platform for them to secure loan deals to league 1 and 2.

so many of u pathetic bozos edging on a full blown psychotic episode because ur team did not sign the players u like when there is six weeks to sign them. super. sign center midfield please guys.
