Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Gueye is 1 of the biggest myths I've seen at Everton. Genuinely baffled by how many people his cheerleaders managed to hypnotise in to believing the stats narrative. It was akin to Pickford at Sunderland.

Every video I watch of Toffee TV, they continually wax lyrical about what he used to bring to the team and what we miss, makes it sound like we were an all conquering, dominant force while he was here.

Dont get me wrong, we haven't been great since he left, but we haven't been THAT much worse. That should tell you everything you need to know about the impact of Gana, or the other Gueye as he should be known.
He left and we put out the worst midfield I've ever seen that didn't go down right afterward when we had been competing with the likes of United and Chelsea mere months before. But yeah go on mate.

Youre not going to like Allan or Doucoure then.

He was great at what he did, tackle and intercept balls but he wasn’t strong outside of that. I like him a lot but he added nothing going forward
I always thought with a bit more composure and discipline off the ball he’d be in the Kante bracket. Against better opposition his enthusiasm to close down and keep chasing sometimes caused more problems with leaving big gaps. But that could also have been caused by poor team mates not plugging said gaps either and losing runners!

With Allan and Dacoure in, I wonder what that means for Andre Gomes and Gbamin? Surely Gomss is much better than Dacoure.

It looks like curtains for Davies, Delph and Sigurdsson.

In his final half season he was excellent on the ball. Not exactly sure why, but he started to carry the ball and beat players. He tried riskier passes too. Never knew he had it in him.
