I'm really into this if we can buy at the end. But if we're just developing Chelsea players no thanks.

I was really against getting him last summer fir that reason, but I don’t think he would come in as a starter now, purely back up and then up to him to take his chance.

Maybe if Chelsea sign Rice there may be a chance to keep him. But I think he's their long term CB. Still a decent deal for us as we are short.

I'm not sure he wouldn't come in and play. I wouldn't say Holgate is definitely better.

Am I wrong in thinking Tomori can also play right back? Also realistically if we are loaning out Gibson we probably do need a senior CB as depth, one injury to any of ours and we’re fairly down to bare bones and Holgate, Keane and Mina have all had a few injury niggles since they’ve come.

There may not be "an" option to buy but there is always "the" option to buy

You just have to offer a lot of money if you really want them. Like we did with Rom.

Personally would find this disappointing...Means both Gibson and Branthwaite fall done the pecking list and likely not seen this season. There chances in the medium term also drop significantly...

Gibson will go on loan. A good league one season doesn’t mean he’s ready for the prem. mate who works for Fleetwood in analysis says he was excellent but maybe too soon for prem.

If loaning Tomori helps us develop Branthwaite by allowing him a good loan, then that's great.

If we also develop a Chelsea player in the process, I think we have to live with that.

But if he's good, we can afford to buy him. It's all about whether he'd want to come.

If Tomori plays well for us for 12 months and Branthwaite then comes back ready to play, then I doubt anyone would complain.
