Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I really don't think we need a striker. Maybe a Giroud or Connor Wickham type just to come in be the wise experienced head for our young lads. But otherwise I don't think it's a priority at all. Winger and RB please Brands!

I know the Bale talk is rubbish - but we shouldn’t even entertain it in my opinion. Follow Wales home and away and kept an eye on Madrid due to bale over last few years.

Unfortunately it’s a bit of a similar situation to Rooney’s decline with bale - undoubtedly peaked during 16/17 - unplayable at times then but pretty dire now . So many injuries, couple of yards slower when pace was a huge part of his game and rarely influences games...can’t see how he’d be a success in the prem again...him and Jose seem like a terrible match at Spurs...hope they get him..

Please Mr Brands, earn your exorbitant wedge & put right the wrongs of the past. Some of your own making.

OUT :
Delph
Sigurdsson
Tosun
Sandro
Besic
Iwobi
Bolasie
Walcott
Kean

Wow! That’s 9 players, mostly on huge wages & there would be literally no impact losing them all. That’s a lot of dead money!

Bernard I think could still be of use with the new additions who can actually play football, but I’d let him go too if we can get 3-4 in.

IN :
1st choice RB & let JJK or Seamus go if we do/they want to go.
Pacy CB. Keane & Mina cannot work as a pairing.
Pacy winger
Striker
Keeper

Years of being ground down by Everton tell me the above isn’t possible, but then who would have ever believed Carlo Ancelotti & “Hamez” Rodriguez would come??? We’re in uncharted territory.

Carlo Ancelotti didn’t come here to be hung out to dry like past managers.
He didn’t come here to finish 7th.

Interesting articles from Bascombe and Joyce. Fully expect King and the others to say the same as it's obvious they've been briefed.

I'm surprised that Iwobi and Kean are potentially off to be fair - Iwobi because he's only just joined and I doubt we'd recoup the fee so we may as well see if he can play in the Gomes role from Sunday. Kean because he has the potential to be a great player and the only way is up.

Loaning Kean out would make sense if he played every week and we brought in someone who can seriously improve us i.e. the man, Cavani.

Marcel needs to get creative with these sales. We have so much dross on big wages that don't offer enough. Swaps for Zaha, Grealish (shame he signed a new deal today), etc would make the most sense to keep fees down and reduce the wage bill. Swaps also allow us to do what Barca/Juve did with Pjanic and Arthur and really mess with the FFP rules.

The three buys + Niels have been fantastic deals for us. Now it's time to finally get rid of the deadwood.
